- 13-7 THERE IS IS! Day comes to the table needing four snookers...but he immediately goes in-off...and concedes...he is through to another Crucible semi-final...
- 12-7 Hendry makes 22 to move 59-0 in front...six reds on the table though...Day needs to win this safety battle, and then go on and polish the frame off...tough ask...
- 12-7 Day moves into a solid 71-8 lead in the 19th frame thanks to a break of 71...he eventually plays safe...before firing in a superb long red to seal it...
- 12-6 Day does really well to fightback from Hendry's early 46 in the 18th frame...a nervous moment when he overscrews with his positional shot from brown to blue, but he recovers to clinch it...
- 12-5 And Hendry does take the opener as he clears the colours comfortably...he is just one frame from the finishing line now...
- 11-5 Hendry looks to have got himself on top in the opener...he is 66-38 ahead, and well placed on the colours...
- - Welcome to the third and final session of this match, with Stephen Hendry leading 11-5 from Ryan Day.
- 10-5 A 30 clearance for Hendry wins him the 15th frame by scoreline of 56-43. One to play - and Day will need it to stand any chance of winning this match.
- 9-5 Day gives Hendry a chance to win another in the session but the Scot cannot take it. Day steals it from him by a narrow margin to remain in the hunt for the semi-finals.
- 9-4 Hendry relieved to win a frame back on a very low-scoring table in the first frame back - 59-23 the score.
- 8-4 A 54 run from Hendry is not quite enough and Day makes it up and then some despite again missing a shot to the bottom-right corner pocket. The quality is not there in this game, but if Ryan keeps winning frames then the drama certainly will be. Stephen can't buy a frame at present. Time for the interval.
- 8-3 Less Day-light between the players as Ryan snatches another frame. It wasn't so clear-cut as that though: at one point he missed three shots after snookering himself on all the colours. A 60 break eventually secures a five-frame deficit.
- 8-2 Day fires back with a 68 break, although again he misses a simple red to put paid to a century chance. The most important thing is that he wins the frame, which he ensures soon after.
- 8-1 Hendry wastes no time in extending his lead still further after two solid visits to the baize. Both he and Day miss good chances in the frame.
- - We are back at the Crucible for the evening session. Hendry in control at present, but Day is capable of challenging - whether he can come back from 7-1 down though is questionable.

- 7-1 Hendry misses the blue off the final red, but his break of 33 is more than enough to clinch the final frame and ensure he takes a 7-1 lead into the second session...
- 6-1 Hendry plays safe at his second visit...he sticks the cue ball behind the brown...Day has three wild attempts at getting out of the snooker before finally hitting the reds...but he has left one in to the middle...
- 6-1 Hendry punches the table in frustration after running out of position as he again chased a maximum, attempting to get on the black after making 49, all reds and blacks.
- 6-1 Hendry comes through a frame featuring long bouts of safety on a group of reds clustered on the bottom cushion...the Scot makes 35 up to the final red to clinch it from Day...
- 5-1 Ryan Day is under some more pressure in the seventh frame...he's down 42-19, and has had two misses in succession after Hendry leaves him in a spot of trouble cueing over the pink...he has to hit a red this chance, or he loses the frame...he does...but Hendry is still in the ascendency...
- 5-1 It's one-way traffic at the moment...no mistake from Hendry, who clears up to the pink to open a 5-1 lead...he is guaranteed to be in front in the second session...
- 4-1 Hendry holds a 58-43 lead late in the sixth frame...it's down to the colours as Hendry gets down for the yellow...
- 4-1 The reds are wildly split in the sixth frame...but neither player is able to to take any of the long pots on offer...Hendry finally fires one down...
- 4-1 Day makes just six before an attempt to flick out a safe red with a cannon off the blue fails and he is forced to play safe...but he can't get the white safe, and Hendry steps up to clinch it.
- 3-1 Hendry starts fast in the first frame back after the interval...he makes a fluid 68 before missing a red into the corner...the frame still isn't safe as Day comes to the table...
- - The players have gone in for their mid-session interval...it's been good stuff so far this morning...
- 3-1 BUT HE MISSES THE FINAL RED...His potting of the black left him a final red longer than he would have wanted...and he misses it! The break ends at 112...the crowd are disappointed, so is Hendry, naturally.
- 2-1 ...SUPERB BLACK! AND HE'S ON THE RED! Two reds remain...pink looks in a tricky spot...
- 2-1 ...a superb plant into the middle splits the final few reds...up to 97...BUT HE GETS A BIG KICK! The red goes in, but the black is made so tough...
- 2-1 ...73, and the frame is safe...four reds in a cluster though, they will be key to the maximum bid...
- 2-1 Hendry has made 49...all reds and blacks...surely we're not going to get another 147?
- 2-1 Hendry makes a second telling contribution in the third frame - 36 - to move into a 76-8 lead...but he misses one of the final reds...Day comes to the table needing a snooker...but he misses his first black and concedes...
- 1-1 A fine finish to the second frame helps Hendry get on the scoreboard...
- 1-0 Hendry makes 31 before missing a red into the corner after being hampered with his cueing...Day comes to the table at 31-31...
- 1-0 Hendry takes on a long red...it jaws, runs along the cushion and stops in the jaws of the opposite corner...an easy opener for Day...
- 1-0 Stephen said of Ryan before the match: "Everyone knows how good Ryan is; he is going to be top 16, possibly top 8 for years to come."
- 1-0 Day makes a frame-clinching break of 66 to move into an early lead...long way to go now, though...
- 0-0 Hendry looks well set...but a loose shot on the black ends his break at just nine and allows Day to step in...
