- 11-5 DING finishes the night in high spirits, winning the final frame. At 10-2 it looked all over, and it probably still is, but the young man from China has showed strong resolve to end the session just six behind. Thanks for joining me, We'll be back tommorow!
- 11-4 DING is 53-7 ahead and playing freely now. He's at the table, with a break of 21 so far.
- 11-4 What a shame for DING. He could have won that one too, but a mistake lets in HENDRY and he does the business.
- 10-4 A break of 94 for DING and HENDRY's night is not going to plan.
- 10-3 Buoyed by his clearance, Ding is having a right good go of making a game of this. If he takes this frame we're guaranteed action in tomorrow's final session. He's 50-11 up and at the table.
- 10-3 DING is on for a ton here. Good stuff! Blue with screw, lovely shot....long pink...Ooooohhh what a shame. 93 wins the frame.
- 10-2 DING with a break of 28, and he finally seems to be settling down a little. Might be a touch too late. But who am I to crush his dreams. You can do it!
- 10-2 DING has not been without his chances here. But so far, they've gone begging.
- 10-2 Mid-session interval over and the players are back. DING has a really good chance here. The reds are splayed all over the table.
- 10-2 DING has a chance, but it goes begging. HENDRY gobbles up the frame like a greedy schoolboy in a buffet tuck shop.
- 9-2 HENDRY is in again here. Break of 27 so far, and his lead is 53-7. He runs out of position and safety follows.
- 9-2 And another one for HENDRY. Oh dear.
- 8-2 46 break so far for HENDRY. Ominous stuff for DING this. Ominous indeed.
- 8-2 DING cracks first, and HENDRY sinks blue to increase his lead.
- 7-2 DING is 18 behind, with 18 on the table. HENDRY plays safe. Sensible stuff Stephen, very sensible.
- 7-2 DING plays a lovely snooker, which foxes HENDRY once, twice, thrice...four, five times. And then finally...he makes it!
- 7-2 HENDRY leads off with a break of 49, and sends the cue ball to safety. DING somehow finds a red though, WHAT A POT!
- 7-2 HENDRY goes five ahead and he's in again in frame 10.
- 6-2 Half-century for HENDRY. But he misses the next red by a country mile. 57 and out.
- 6-2 HENDRY with the early running. He's in amongst them with a break of 30 so far. The pack are tightly packed, though, and he'll need to break them sooner rather than later.
- 6-2 Good evening and welcome back to this second round clash at the World Championships in Sheffield. The compere has warmed up the crowd. Here come the players. "Let's let the boys out on the baize" comes the call to arms.

- 6-2 Ding finishes the session with some style, a break of 80 up to the final red seeing him over the line...still, it's Hendry's session, no doubt...lots of work to do for Ding...
- 6-1 ...a second break of 84, and Hendry has an incredible 6-1 lead over the young Chinese star...Hendry has been good, but not awesome...Ding needs to tighten up...
- 5-1 Hendry gets in amongst the balls once more...this time he makes 32 before playing safe...but a loose effort from Ding lets him back in...
- 5-1 Hendry makes 24 to the green to edge 33 points in front...Ding isn't interested in attempting the two snookers he needs, and concedes...
- 4-1 A couple of small contributions from Hendry edges him 29-11 in front...although Ding comes to the table and immediately fires in a long red...
- 4-1 Hendry continues to eek out the frames...breaks of 29 and 44 take him to the first frame back after the interval...Ding is yet to hit his straps...
- 3-1 Hendry takes a 3-1 lead into the mid-session interval after clinching the fourth frame with a break of 36 to take it 57-34...
- 2-1 Hendry's break ends at 61, but it's enough to win the third frame...he did well to recover from a huge kick on the black on 32...
- 1-1 Ding responds by taking a scrappy second frame 71-26...it has all the hallmarks of going the distance, this one...
- 1-0 Both players spurn early chances to get in amongst the balls...Ding when he jaws a blue to end a 13 break...Hendry six points afterwards when he misses a red
- 1-0 Hendry takes the first frame with a superb 124 break...strangely opting to leave the final black, even though he was perfect on it...
- 0-0 The introductions are complete and the breaks have been made...
