  • 8-10   BUT BINGHAM GETS THE LAST RED AND HAS WON THE MATCH - a great match has come to an end. Let's hope it is not the last time we see Steve Davis at the Crucible.
  • 8-9   A break of 59 puts BINGHAM 64-15 up with just one red left. DAVIS needs four snookers.

  • 5-8   Another frame for Davis before the interval as he gets a break of 68 - his highest of the match so far and he has found himself right back in this match.
  • 4-8   Better stuff from Davis now - he leads this frame 32-4 after another little mini-break.
  • 4-8   Great roar from the crowd as DAVIS gets in for a 65 clearance so Davis will bring the game to a mid-table interval at the very least.
  • 3-8   Break of 35 for DAVIS gives him a 40-0 lead but he misses an easy red and lets BINGHAM in. The younger man responds with a break 31 and we have a tight frame here.
  • 3-8   Davis concedes the frame after leaving the green on and BINGHAM needs just two more frames to win the match.
  • 3-7   DAVIS pots the black off the table while trying to find position on the yellow and he is now 31-65 down and needs snookers.
  • 3-7   BINGHAM misses a pink while trying to build a break. The cue-ball at least goes safe - 25-24 Davis.

  • 3-7   Both players miss half chances early in the frame but then Davis lets BINGHAM in for a frame-winning break of 67 and you feel the six-time champion is really on the brink now.
  • 3-6   We could have a stalemate here - both players playing a bit of tippy-tappy in a cluster of reds with Davis leading 25-21 and the players do indeed call a re-rack.

  • 3-6   BINGHAM goes into the interval three ahead. It's been scrappy stuff, but DAVIS has only himself to blame for trying that crazy three-ball plant.
  • 3-5   Ooh la-la. DAVIS goes for a three-ball "Robert" and misses. That was risque to the extreme, and BINGHAM has a great chance to go 6-3 ahead.
  • 3-5   BINGHAM gets in first, and leads 40-1. The reds are bunched like grapes though and this frame could linger on for a while.
  • 3-5   BINGHAM comes straight back at DAVIS. A lovely break of 58 takes his lead back to two. One frame to go before we end the first session. Whatever happens DAVIS will go into lunch behind, but at least he's in touch.
  • 3-4   DAVIS kills off the frame and brings it back to 4-3.
  • 2-4   Another tight frame this one. DAVIS leads 58-29 with 25 left on the table. He bags the green. 61-29. GCSE maths is enough to decipher snookers are needed.
  • 2-4   BINGHAM wraps up a scratchy frame with a decisive break to lead 4-2.
  • 2-3   DAVIS misses a difficult red to the bottom left and his break ends at 21. BINGHAM follows up with a decent safety.

  • 0-3   A neat half-century from BINGHAM takes him into a 3-0 lead. DAVIS looks a little stunned.
  • 0-2   BINGHAM goes ahead early, but leaves DAVIS with a wonderful chance...which he misses.
  • 0-2   BINGHAM has the initiative in frame three. A georgeous blue into the middle takes him into the world and red and black. But a bad positional shot may mean he opts for a safety.

  • 0-1   Oooohhh, bad miss from DAVIS with a red to the middle pocket. BINGHAM can't get in though, so he leaves the cue ball tucked tightly behind the yellow in balk.
