- - Swail will face either Liang Wenbo or former champ Ken Doherty in the next round; good performance from The Outlaw, although he stumbled a bit in trying to get over the line.
- 10-4 THERE IT IS! Swail finishes it off, dominating the 14th frame.

- 8-3 Swail looks fairly unhappy with himself as he runs out of position on 19 as he covers a red into the corner...

- 7-3 Swail makes 33 before running out of position and playing safe...Lee plays an aggressive safety to split the pack...
- 7-3 A good start from Lee, who capitalises from a fine plant to make a frame-winning 75...his third break of 50 in this match...still has a long way to go, though...
- 7-2 Some top-drawer safety at the start of this second session...Lee has a 41-point lead, but Swail is digging in...

- 7-2 Swail does enough to clear the colours and take a 7-2 lead out of the session...Lee manages a smile at the end as he shakes Joe's hand, but he knows that the luck has gone against him.
- 6-2 Another shocking piece of luck goes against Lee as, attempting to battle his way back from 47 points down, he pots a long red into the corner...only to see the white fall in the middle pocket on the way back to baulk...
- 6-2 A missed red into the middle from Lee gifts Swail another chance to seal it...he takes this one comfortably...Lee is distraught in his chair...
- 5-2 Swail makes 61 before running out of position with three reds remaining...Lee gets a reprieve...
- 5-2 Another poor miss from Lee when in a good position hands Swail the chance to move further ahead...lots of balls on the table though...
- 5-2 An outrageous red, deliberately cannoned off the blue into the middle, seals another frame from Swail, who now holds a 5-2 lead, meaning he will definitely be ahead come the end of the session...
- 4-2 Swail edges the sixth frame to move a couple in front...Lee looks as though he is still contemplating the throwing away of the last frame on the final pink.
- 3-2 ...Incredibly, after a little bout of safety on the final pink, Swail sticks Lee in a safety which he three times fails to escape from before he concedes the frame! Lee completely threw that one away!
- 2-2 Incredibly, Lee fights back from 48 points down...before snookering himself on the final pink behind the black, the only other ball on the table! Tight finish to the frame now...
- 2-2 Lee and Swail are back out after their mid-session interval; it has been a tight opening to this match - can anyone pull away this afternoon?
- 2-2 Lee makes sure of the fourth frame with a good blue after Swail had left it on with a long miss. 2-2 as the pair go off for a breather.
- 2-1 Swail takes the third frame thanks to a break of 67, from which Lee had a chance to recover but failed on the first red.
- 1-1 Swail fights back to take the second to level up against Lee...the Northern Ireland player was upset to leave the frame open at 62-1, but Lee couldn't capitalise.
- 1-0 The Rolls Royce of Snooker, Stephen Lee, starts with a silky smooth break of 96, falling on a tight final red along the bottom cushion.
- 0-0 Off we go...the players shake hands and Joe Swail breaks off.
