  • 10-3   WILLIAMS is strolling through this frame, and canons the cue ball off the black into the remaining reds perfectly. He spilts them up, and clears them to take the frame and move into the second round!   • 9-3   A wonderfully delicaste roll into middle pocket gets WILLIAMS off the mark in this, a 13th frame that no one really expected to see. If DAVIS can win this one, then we'll have an interval!

  • 4-0   A break of 33 gives WILLIAMS a 33-8 lead but he keeps missing potts to the same corner pocket down at the black's end of the table. DAVIS has a good chance to develop a break now though after coming off three cushions to open up the reds.

  • 4-0   A chance for Davis to get back into the frame ends on just nine, and WILLIAMS goes into the interval with a 4-0 lead after another break of 30.
  • 3-0   WILLIAMS with a break of 43 puts him in control of another frame.
  • 3-0   Another break of 29 for WILLIAMS and he comes from 34-0 down to win the frame and go 3-0 up.
  • 2-0   WILLIAMS with a break of 44 and he now leads 44-34 with four reds still left on the table.
  • 2-0   DAVIS gets his first mini-break of the match - a 26 - to take the early lead in this third frame. 0-26 and we are now in a safety exchange.
  • 2-0   WILLIAMS gets back in for the points he needs - but he did start missing some easy pots in that frame which will concern him.
  • 1-0   WILLIAMS gets back in with a superb long plant but then misses an easy black. Still he leads 48-0.
  • 1-0   Williams loses position and plays safe on 38 - still a good start to the frame. The two-time champ is looking good here.
  • 1-0   WILLIAMS has got in again early here and he has split the reds well too - could be another big break here.
  • 1-0   Great start from WILLIAMS - he punishes a poor safety shot from Davis and a fine break of 79 sees him take the frame with ease. He had a very smooth looking action throughout that frame.
