  • 10-6   And it's all over! JUDGE pots brown but leaves the blue exposed and DAY secures his place in the second round...where he'll face defending world champion John HIGGINS.
  • 9-6   Very tense stuff. Day leads 50-21, with 22 left on the table. This could be it.
  • 9-6   DAY is looking edgy here. He gets in but misses a red to invite JUDGE back into the balls. The Irishman sinks a red and plays safe.
  • 9-6   Another frame for JUDGE. Very interesting stuff.
  • 9-5   Hints of an unlikely comeback from JUDGE here. He's in again, with a break of 67 so far and surely the frame is his for 9-6.
  • 9-5   Ooooooohhhhhh. JUDGE has missed a straightforward red and his chance at a 147 goes begging. The frame is his though.
  • 9-4   JUDGE suddenly finds some form! A superbly crafted break has won this frame, and HE'S ON FOR A MAXIMUM!!
  • 9-4   The Welshman cruises into a 9-4 lead with an excellent break of 96. JUDGE just hasn't turned up today.
  • 8-4   DAY is running away with this now. A half-century break and he's still going. Another century beckons and the frame is surely his.
  • 8-4   DAY with the opening chance. The reds are clustered though and he's going to need to break them sooner rather than later. Which he does, expertly...lovely stuff.
  • 8-4   DAY takes the frame comfortably and increases his lead to 8-4.
  • 7-4   JUDGE with a break of 20, but DAY follows it with a superb long red down the cushion to get himself in. He takes blue next, and he's down with the reds and blacks. Wonderful chance to go four frames ahead.
  • 7-4   DAY is in the balls. The black is up in balk, and he tries to slot it to return the seven-pointer to its rightful place. Oh dear. Bad miss.
  • 7-4   A century break for DAY sees him home and dry. He needs three more to progress. JUDGE, on the other hand, surely MUST win this frame.
  • 6-4   DAY at the table, with a break of 56 so far. He needs just one more red to leave Judge requiring snookers. And he gets it.
  • 6-4   JUDGE with a long red, and he follows it with a nasty snooker behind the green. DAY escapes, but he's left chances here.
  • 6-4   Tense start to the 11th frame. This is clearly an important juncture in the match. If DAY takes a 7-4 lead it's hard to see a way back for JUDGE.
  • 6-4   DAY hits the ground running and takes the opening frame with a fluid break. JUDGE pots out the colours despite being a considerable amount of points behind - presumably to get a feel for the balls.
  • 5-4   Good morning and welcome to eurosport.yahoo.com's continued coverage of Ryan Day against Michael Judge from the World Championships in Sheffied. Day led 5-4 overnight.
  • 5-4   DAY with a rare moment of class with a break of 70 to the blue to take the final frame of the session. He deserves his lead, he has been the better player, but as I said, neither player will be too happy with what they produced.
  • 4-4   JUDGE gets a break of 41 but now he has let Day in for a chance. Nobody can close out frames in this match.
  • 4-4   JUDGE finally gets a run on the colours to win what will go down as one of the worst frames in Crucible history. Hard to tell who will win this game but they will need to up their game if they are to have ANY chance of going any further.
  • 4-3   This has been an awful frame of snooker really - both players missing chances. Day is 39-33 and they have reached the yellow. MAKE IT END PLEASE !!
  • 4-3   Slow frame here - the score is still only 8-11
  • 4-3   JUDGE takes the frame as Day gets the snookers he needs and the gap is just one again.
  • 4-2   Two mini-breaks from JUDGE sees him build up a 58-10 lead with only two reds left. Day needs snookers.
  • 4-2   Judge gets up to 37 but then he lets DAY in again and a break of 24 sees the Welshman take it.
  • 3-2   A poor safety from Judge let's in DAY - he scores 37 but then a black just hangs on the pocket and doesn't drop - now Judge has a chance.
  • 3-2   DAY takes the frame with a break of 95 (he really should have got the century but missed the green) - again he was presented with his chance by Judge.
  •   Back underway...
  • 2-2   But JUDGE still manages to win the frame. DAY tries a tough pink when a safety might have been more advisable - he leaves a tricky pot on but JUDGE nails it. The players now on their mid-session interval.
  • 2-1   WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT ?? DAY has got the snooker by resting the cue ball behind the black. You would have expected Judge still to have hit the pink but maybe nerves got the better of him? If Day can get the pink and black now than he could steal the frame.
  • 2-1   JUDGE with a great blue along the cushion puts him 14 in front with just pink and black left - Day is going to stick around and try and get the snooker.
  • 2-1   DAY now misses a red he would make nine times out of 10 - he leads 35-28 but the frame is very much up for grabs now.
  • 2-1   JUDGE is missing a lot of pots - another chance has just gone begging and this time he might not be lucky enough to escape.
  • 2-1   He can't - he is forced to attempt a tough pot after getting an unlucky spot after a great cannon into the reds. He missed it by a mile and left a red on. JUDGE has another chance here with the reds now opened up nicely.
  • 2-1   Poor from JUDGE he misses another easy black early in a break. Can Day take advantage.
  • 2-1   Much more confident stuff from DAY as he builds a break of 83 to take the frame. Some nice pots in that frame and he opened the reds early with a powerful spinned pot on the black.
  • 1-1   DAY gets back in and a frame of 45 is enough for him to level the scores.
  • 0-1   DAY misses another pot you really would expect him to make. He leads this second frame 26-0 but both players have been making mistakes early on here.
  • 0-1   JUDGE finally takes the opener as Day misses what looked a straightforward red. It seemed like he got a bit of a kick there. Nervy enough start from both players but Judge will be feeling a bit more relaxed now.
  • 0-0   Day misses a long pot and it looks like JUDGE is on his way to take the frame before he misses an easy black. He is still 52-1 up but DAY can now build and has a chance to nick the frame.
  • 0-0   Mini-break of 31 from JUDGE gives him the early advantage - he leads 35-1.
  • 0-0   And Day has got us underway...
  •   Welcome to LIVE coverage of this opening round match between Welshman Ryan Day and Dubliner Michael Judge. Day is up to seven in the provisional rankings and will be favourite but Judge is looking to cause an upset.
